Scientist/Science & Technology Author/Malayalam Literature Enthusiast
An experienced industry professional with 40+ years of experience in the naval systems and defence industry, Ananthanarayanan managed a laboratory of 600+ personnel for nearly a decade, and headed multiple projects to successful completion. He has been conferred the Technology Leadership Award, the highest award for a serving scientist in DRDO. He was also an alumnus of the prestigious National Security and Strategic Studies course at the National Defence College (NDC), Delhi.
His areas of expertise include underwater acoustics, project management, HR and personnel management and Indian public sector units (PSUs).
Post-retirement, he has forayed into Malayalam literature, authoring 5+ Malayalam books on scientists and advancements in science, including the Shastra Jalakam series. Seeking to popularize science and deepen an appreciation for science and art among Keralites, his books and articles are at the intersection of science, literature and current affairs.
He is also teaching Optics at the Susrutha School of Optometry and Visual Sciences (SSO), Ernakulam, for the last 3 years.
